I knew that they would wait for me to speak if I had not yet spoken, and that they would praise what I had said after I had spoken. I also knew that, if I did have more to say, they would put their hands over their mouths until I had finished speaking.
They shall wait for me when I hold my peace, and they shall look upon me when I speak, and if I talk much they shall lay their hands on their mouths.
When I am silent, they will wait for me to speak, and when I speak, they will pay attention. Even when I speak at length, they will listen with concentration.
They will wait while I am silent and listen when I speak; and when I shall speak the more, they will put their hands upon their mouths.
When I remain silent, they will await my utterances; when I do speak, they will listen carefully. And should I speak at great length, they will put their hands over their mouths.
When I am silent they will wait for me, and when I speak they will give heed; if I speak at greater length, they will put their hands on their mouths.
